GC: 16 pts
Castlewood: 16 pts
Coeburn: 12 pts
Va High: 12 pts
Honaker: 12 pts
PV: 10.5 pts
JJ Kelly: 10.5 pts
Lebanon: 9 pts

At worst we are getting 11 more points, that is if we lose to Appy we could get 12 more with a win. Assuming we win we have:
22.5 pts
Lets go ahead and give the regular season winners in the CMD and Cumberland the district Championships giving GC and Castlewood both 28 pts
Here’s where we get screwed, if Coeburn or Va High either one wins tonight they will end up with 23 pts, .5 more than us due to that ridiculous splitting of points we were forced to do, thus relegating us to at best 4th and possibly 5th in the regional tournament. I didn’t realize it was this bad, we need a miracle to be honest, Honaker would also have to lose for us to get the number 3 seed. Best case for us is that all 3 win or all 3 lose, probably with our luck it will work out that 2 lose and one wins and we’ll end up 4th playing Va High with the winner playing GC. This whole system just pisses me off, the LPD Principles basically said piss on PV and let’s take out any advantage they had. Had they given us full second place points we would be sitting pretty, we held the tiebreaker over Coeburn due to our head to head win and basically would have locked up a home game last night with our win over JJK. JJK continues to get break after break; as long as they beat JIB it appears to me that they will avoid GC’s Bracket.

Just use a little perspective amigo and save the blood pressure. The season for LPD teams will conclude sadly shortly,and very soon baseball cleats will be diggin'.

Doesn't seem to me PV got screwed. Win against Norton and they are not in this position. Beat Clintwood first game of regular season and they are not in this position.

Beat Kelly twice...oh wait 3 times now, and still split points. Ridiculous.

All they did was take home game advantage away from a fellow LPD team, when either way they can't get home game advantage.

And as far as getting out the cleats....if Kelly feels the same way you do Unchained, why don't they just give PV back the point and a half, and go sit at the house. Why play in a regional tourney you don't think you can win?

Dude. C'mon. Dont you know that JJK is supposed to get every break? Quit complaining Pvfan. The only school that matters in Wise county is JJK, and therefore they deserve every chance we can give them to win. They shouldn't actually have to do anything. They're JJ Kelly and are, by default, better than everybody else in Wise County. They're cool man! They're the Indians.

The best thing for everybody would be to see all the LPD teams out of the first round of the Regional Basketball tournament, following the LPD's principals' logic, and then lets get on to baseball season, so we can also make up rules as we go to give JJ Kelly a one way trip to the state baseball tournament.

PV? Who cares.... Appalachia? What have you done for me lately... Pound? You all really didn't need that call at the end of regulation. Following Unchained's logic, it's your fault for putting yourselves in that position!

It's too much to ask for fair officiating, and its too much to ask that the principals actually be responsible and decide how to allocate points in the event of a tie before the season begins! The point of this discussion is that we dont want to put too much stress on the JJ Kelly athletic program.

Pvfan, I have an idea! You know how Notre Dame has that automatic stipulation to go to the Fiesta Bowl when they go 9-2 over weak competition? We should do the same thing with Wise. They're clearly the best basketball team in the conference on paper! Therefore, they should clearly get to forgo the Regional tournament and get an opening round bye and home court advantage for the state tournament. Then we can play Baseball. Relax.... If you're hatin on JJ Kelly, then you're obviously not living in the only community that's relevant in Wise County.

As much as I don't like PV, they do deserve the points. They are clearly the better team, really not much of a discussion when you beat a team 3 times in one season. I don't see Kelly winning tmo night, I think their luck has run out. And I also think PV might pull out the win, really excited to see that one.

Tell you what Shooter: Sit tight,wait a few weeks,and tell me which one of us is right. I'd LOVE to eat crow and be wrong on this,but year in and year out it is what it is.
